Teflon (PTFE) tubing is utilized with many types of balun and unun windings to increase inter conductor breakdown voltage and to manage characteristic impedance of the windings. When using our Thermaleze insulated wire, the increased thickness from the polyimide insulation requires this 13 gauge Teflon tubing for easy insertion and best fit of 14 gauge Thermaleze wire.
